    Welcome to Year 3

Welcome to the Summer term in Year 3!

This half term, we have lots of exciting learning ahead. In English, we will be reading A Midsummer Night’s Dream and developing our reading and writing skills through a range of creative activities.

In Maths, we will continue to build our confidence with fractions, as well as investigating capacity and calculating amounts of money. We will also apply these skills to a range of problem-solving activities. In RE, we will be exploring Branch 5 – To the Ends of the Earth.

Our wider curriculum will see us exploring new topics across a range of subjects. We will continue to develop our historical enquiry skills as we learn about the Bridgewater Canal, and take on the role of scientists as we investigate light in Science. It’s set to be another busy and engaging half term!

Swimming will continue to take place on Friday mornings, so please ensure your child comes prepared each week.

As part of their Sacramental journey, children are invited to attend Mass at St. Sebastian's each Sunday morning. This is a special time for them to experience God’s love and grow in their faith.
